Family: I am a single mother of 4 children. My oldest Ethan, a NCO in the Marine Corps reserves who is married with 3 children. I have 2 sons both 19, both in College. No they are not twins I adopted Adrian during his Senior year in High School, he attends Arapahoe community College. Orry my middle child is attending the Fire Academy through Red Rocks College. I have a daughter Katy who attends Sheridan High and is a Junior this year. My mother also lives with Katy, Orry and me in Sheridan.

Why are you seeking office?
I hope to bring a fresh perspective to the South Suburban Parks and Recreation Board of Directors (SSPR). I feel my passion for health, wellness and education will be a great asset to the SSPR Board.
How have you contributed to the community?
I sit on the Sheridan School District Health and Wellness Committee. We are working on creating policies that promote healthy lifestyle choicesfor our students, parents and staff. I have served on the School Board of Directors for more than four years now, working through some tough economic challenges while continuing to provide quality education for students. I also am a Certified Emergency Response Team Member for the City of Sheridan, and have volunteered as a Youth Counselor at my Church for the last several years.
What are the biggest issues facing your constituency?
Providing quality recreation centers, programs and maintaining beautiful, accessible parks while managing a fiscally sound budget.
